ARM MUSCLES

The arm mucules are divided into 2 regions:

  • Previous Region
  • Later Region
Previous Region
Biceps Brachii

Anterior Brachialis

Coracobrachial

Later Region
Triceps Brachii

Previous Region

Biceps Brachii Muscle1. BRACELED BICEPS

Proximal Insertion:

PLong prayer: Supra-glenoid tuber
Short Portion: Coracoid Process

Distal Insertion: Radial Tuberosity

Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve (C5 and C6)

Action: Elbow / Shoulder Flexion and Forearm Supination

Anterior Brachial Muscle

2. PREVIOUS BRACIAL

Proximal Insertion: Anterior face of the distal half of the humerus
Distal Insertion: Coronoid process and ulnar tuberosity
Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve (C5 and C6)
Action: Elbow Flexion

Coracobrachial muscle3. CORACOBRAQUIAL

Proximal Insertion: Coracoid process & #8211; shoulder blade
Distal Insertion: 1/3 average of medial face of humerus body
Innervation: Musculocutaneous Nerve (C5 and C6)
Action: Arm Flexion and Adduction

Later Region

Triceps Brachii1.TRANCEPS BRACH

Proximal Insertion:

Long portion: Infra-glenoid tuber
Medial Portion: ½ distal to posterior surface of humerus (below radial sulcus)
Side portion: ½ proximal to posterior surface of humerus (above radial sulcus)
Distal Insertion: Olécrano
Innervation: Radial Nerve (C7 & #8211; C8)
Action: Elbow Extension
