Gluteus Maxus Muscle1. MAXIMUM GLUTTE

Medial Insertion: Posterior gluteal line of the iliac, sacrum, coccyx, and sacrotuberous ligament
Lateral Insertion: Ileotibial tract of fascia lata and femoral gluteal tuberosity
Innervation: Lower Gluteus Nerve (L5 & #8211; S2)
Action: Hip Extension and Lateral Rotation

Gluteus Medius Muscle2. Average Glute

Superior Insertion: External aspect of the ileum between the iliac crest, posterior and anterior gluteal line
Lower Insertion: Greater Exchange
Innervation: Superior Gluteus Nerve (L4 & #8211; S1)
Action: Abduction and Medial Rotation of the Thigh

Minimal Gluteus Muscle3. MINIMUM GLUTE

Superior Insertion: Iliac wing (between anterior and inferior gluteal line)
Lower Insertion: Greater Exchange
Innervation: Superior Gluteus Nerve (L4 & #8211; S1)
Action: Abduction and Medial Rotation of the Thigh. Anterior fibers perform Hip Flexion
