Atlas (1st Cervical Vertebra)
The main differentiation of this from the other vertebrae is that it has no body.
In addition, this vertebra has other structures:
Anterior Arc & #8211; it forms about 1/5 of the ring.

Axis (2nd Cervical Vertebra)
It has a strong bone process called Tooth (Odontoid Process) which is located superiorly and articulates with the anterior arch of the Atlas.

* Long and prominent spinous process.
